Major County, OK: Mewbourne activity in Sec 35, 21N-15W

E&K Land (On behalf of Comanche Exploration) recently sent me a lease proposal regarding the SW quarter of Section 35, 21N-15W to “lease all rights not held by that certain O&G Lease dated March 13, 2002, filed in BK: 1554, PG: 96 in County Clerk’s records of Major County, OK.” I believe the excluded lease covers these currently producing Diversified Energy wells: Vicky, Vera and Judy.

Does anybody know what Comanche’s intentions are? Or what formations are currently HBP by Diversified vs. Comanche’s target formation? Is this a conventional target or horizontal? And have any pooling notifications (or any other OCC orders/notifications) been issued yet?

Very early in the leasing timeline for 35. None have been filed in that section in the last 24 months. Only eleven in sec 36 to the east. Looks like 3/16ths is the general royalty.

Diversified has five active wells in the section. Mostly in the Hunton. Judy, Vicky, Elsie, Vera and Turner. in the section. About 9500’ deep

Sandridge has a horizontal which spud in 35, but only perforated in sections 26 and 23. it is in the Mississippian at about 8768’.

No cases yet. Ask the agent what they are going to drill for. I would not be in a huge rush to lease until I knew more about the well and the cases started to file.
