Does anyone know the status of these wells? I know they were drilled back in May of 2024 but can’t tell if they’ve been completed.
Thanks

If your name and address are properly filed in the Carter County courthouse, you should be getting a Division order any day. First payments should be 180 days after first sales which was 10/25/24. It might come in May if they miss the check cut date for April.

Division Orders do not have to be signed in OK in order to get paid, but keep them for your records for you and your heirs. Look up “letter in lieu” using the magnifying glass to get an alternate template letter to respond. They want your W-9. Your are owed interest if your title is clear if you are not paid on time, so stay on top of it and request it.
Thanks you so much! Very helpful
Continental Oil wants to lease from us in Carter County. I have heard that Continental often excludes favorable language to the owner and puts includes language that favors Continental. Does anyone know what language should be included in a lease and conversely what language not to include. Are there recommendations for people who will review a proposed lease and comment. Also does anyone know what leases per acre are going for these days based on the fractional royalty of course. thanks, Trev
My family owns minerals in Carter County, but I am not expert. It would help if you posted the section, Township and range of your minerals
My wife has multiple units in Carter County, but the 2 main ones are S1-2S-3W and S36-1S-3W.
Surprised no answer yet from dthose who might know. Read this responses here on similar questions and might get an idea of the process. In the long run, all recommend a good oil and gas attorney.
Thanks. I have tried contacting multiple Oil and gas attorneys and either they don’t want to do anything in Carter County or they have a conflict of interest. Would love to hear recommendations from those familiar with attorneys that handle leases in Carter County.
I find it a little strange that Continental wants to lease either of the sections mentioned because they have producing Woodford wells in both sections that your minerals should be already subject to a lease or a Force Pooling. Continental has filed paperwork to drill more wells for various formations in both of these sections so maybe the paperwork you are receiving is for those additional units, not to lease. But I don’t know whether your interests are leased or not. Good Luck
Received the Driftwood-Goddard division orders. The W/2, W/2 of both 18 & 19 7N 5W are included. Tom Ed
Continental has filed for multiple multi-section horizontal wells oriented NW/SE called Columbus in those sections.
