Louisiana Gas Volume Reporting Discrepancies

Two issues regarding four (4) new completed Alt Unit Wells in Legacy Haynesville (DeSoto Parish). Comstock is the operator. I’ve yet to receive Division Orders although 3 wells have reported volumes for June and July. Disclaimer: Info is from Sonris (LA Dept. of Energy website).

1. One Well Not Yet Reporting • From Sonris Scout Report: All 4 wells completed 06/26/26 with status code 10 (“active producing”) along with MCFD reported for each. • However, the “last” of these wells (meaning last in order of consecutive serial numbers assigned) shows scout status code 31 (“Shut-In, Dry Hole, Future Utility”). Any idea as to what could be hold-up?

2. LUW Reporting Percentages The Unit Well covers sections 32 and 29. Mine is section 32 and my LUW reporting percentage is 51.09% – which coincides with volumes on my Comstock statements. The 4 Alt Unit Wells cover Sections 5, 32, and 29. LUW percentages are slightly different for each well but basically account for a one-third (1/3) percentage per section. However… June and July volumes for the 3 wells reporting allocate 47% to section 5 and roughly 27% and 26% each to sections 32 and 29. Is this normal?

I’ve been a royalty interest owner for 18 years, but this is the first time I’ve dealt with Alt Unit wells, so any advice or feedback would be very, very much appreciated!

@jham, it looks like you are referring to the wells in 12N-14W sections 29 & 32. The API # for the alt wells are 17-031-27504 through 27507 and the serial numbers are 255348-255351. If you look under the well completions, only 3 are listed, although, as you note, there is a note in the fourth well saying it was completed 8/3/2026. This just may be a paperwork, recording delay. I don’t see an obvious reason for the higher allocation to Section 5. Sometimes the well lengths vary and the end sections might be longer or shorter, but that doesn’t appear to be the case here.
