Looking for land info in Ward County

My family owns land in Ward county which is leased by Cimerax. Last year was really good with high production. Mid to last of year and now this year have seen devastating losses. We have no idea why, can't the production for 2-4 wells. Anybody neighbor up to Field name Intimadation 33-63? Well 1 shows production and has the green dot but only circle for wells 2-4 and no information. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, RDP

If you will list your legal description(s) and the Operator and Well Names and Numbers, I will see what I can find out for you.

it is possible that there are wells bing drilled nearby and your wells were shut in due to "communication"

between the new drilling and existing . this happened to us recently( in ward county), and has affected production for a few months. if this is the case, it was done to prevent possible disruption of the existing wells.

i hope that is the case for you and not something worse...

the way figure, the oil company wants that well to produce alot worse than you do.

Oh that would be great Charles. Field name is Intimadation 33-63. Field #71052900

1H #35735

2H#35885

3H#35924

4H#35943

Lease is by Cimarex. No info on the TRRC about production or anything. At one point back in Oct. or Nov. they said the drop was due to pooling with the nieghbor, but it was a huge drop and still haven't seen al the benefit from wells 3 and 4. Thanks for any help.

I hope this is the case but unfortunately can't find out why or what. Hoping to find something soon. Thanks!

Expect most of these new wells to drop 50%+ by the end of the first year.

Why is that?

I assume that this is Ward County, North Dakota, not Ward County, Texas, and that the production is for natural gas, not crude oil. If those are true, then you might consider the possibility that your well was shut-in. When the price of natural gas is very low, some operators will temporarily "shut off" the flow of product in the pipeline to wait for prices to improve. And there are a host of other reasons why a well might be shut-in. Depending upon how your lease is worded, they might or might not have to pay you shut-in royalties for any period of time where the production is halted, but you might not receive any shut-in payments for many months, so the well could be shut-in and you not figure it out until you get the shut-in payment. Somebody on this forum could probably figure out your well's status (producing, shut in, etc.), or you might be able to figure it out yourself by going to a Web site. I doubt that it IS shut in because natural gas is above $4/mcf the last I checked, and I have heard that it becomes profitable to produce natural gas above about $2.75/mcf, but I am just throwing that out as a possibility.

Pete, it appears to be Ward county Texas. Helpful hint, you can often glean a little information by going to the posters home page. Doesn't always help though.

I did check her home page before making the previous comment. Her home page said she is from Winchester, Virginia. No Ward County there. According to Wikipedia, the only Ward Counties are in ND and TX. It does appear that you are right, however, because I just saw a reference to "TRRC" in one of the previous postings, which must mean Texas Railroad Commission.

I was going by where it said mineral and surface owner, mineral rights state, Texas, a little farther down the page.

RD, The shale wells drop, normally, 50%+ in production from their initial production rates by the end of the first year. There are some exceptions, but this is a general rule of thumb. They then are supposed to level out.

Hi Wade, I am familar with the drop after the first year but 2 of the wells aren't a year old yet so don't understand the drop. Unfortunately I can't get any data either so don't know what's going on.

Morning, Guys -

Went to the Sweet 16 at Cowboys Stadium last night, just getting up and have company until this afternoon.

RD, I will take a look at your wells when the house clears.

Still working on coffee at the moment. Who would have ever thought people could play basketball so late at night?

Charles

RD, Our Reeves County vertical wells dropped over 50% in 3-4 months. You can check production reports on the RRC website to see if yours are caused by production drops or,perhaps the wells have been shut in to be reworked or for, other reasons.

Good Lord n' Butter...

Guys, after spending several hours gathering research online, I just spent the past 40 minutes typing a very nicely detailed response to RD on this. But when I switched to "Page One" to check which Well he/she has been receiving royalties from, when I switched back to "Page Two" to continue to edit my response, everything I had written had disappeared.

I don't mean to whine, but who the duck designed this website...?

I'll write it all again when I have time, but it's Easter Weekend and I have company again tonight and they've been patient enough, so I need to jump.

Shortest possible version for RD:

Chill. Relax. Sit, Stay. Life is Good and your's... in particular, is going to get a whole lot better over the coming months.

Hope this helps -

Charles

Thank you Charles I really appreciate all you've done. I hope and hope!! Happy Easter to you and have a great weekend!

I learned the hard way also to highlight and copy before doing anything as I have lost all too many times.

I'll remember to do that!
