Looking for advice on how to put my land to work for me

Hello,

Dear members, few years back I purchased 10 acres of land in Ward County as an investment.

Now I have decided to put my land to work for me. I have joined this forum like a year a go but not be a very active because of my busy schedule. I have read many discussions about mineral rights, royalty and leasing and decided to ask some more questions.

Where I can find if I own the mineral rights of my land ?

If I don't own the mineral rights, can I still make some money out of my land?

The legal description of my property is SE/4 SW/4 SE/4 of Section 172, Block34, H&TC Survey, A-564.

Is there any activities of Gas and Oil Company in this area?

If yes how can I contact them?

Thank you!

Answer to No. 2 - Yes, as a surface owner, but you could also plant a big garden and open a vegetable stand on the corner.

Answer to No. 3 - navigate on over to Ward County group on this website , join the group and ask your questions

Answer to No. 4 - same answer as for No. 3 question

Answer to No. 5 question - Google

Good luck,

Pat

This is a link to a map with an oil well which appears to be in your section: http://wwwgisp.rrc.state.tx.us/GISViewer2/index.html?api=47535779

At the top of the map you can click on the blue circle which circumscribes an "i" and choose "wells" from the drop down box. Then you can place click your cursor on a green dot and reveal information about producing wells.

Thanks Pat,

On my deed say's and I quote " This conveyance is made subject to any effective oil and gas lease, easement or prior reservation of record effecting the herein conveyed lands" what is this mean?

Big garden? I would have done that as you say, but I have a little special situation, I am not an U.S. resident. To be in US legally this days is all most Impossible. Illegally is more easy, but I don't want that... And I could have done that because I am an Agriculture Engineer, but now I am in Australia doing other projects...

Thanks for your inputs...

Thanks AJ,

I will look in to it
