Logan County, OK - Oil & Gas Discussion archives

On the pipeline easement, I would recommend that you put into the agreement that if the pipeline is ever abandoned for more than 90 days, that the owner has to remove the piping, and the easement is null and void for that pipeline. I would also stipulate that there are no valve stations allowed. You can also put in there that corner posts will be pipe on any fences removed for construction, and then replaced. Any gates for right of way will be mounted on welded pipe posts, and whatever size you want. Any boring under ponds or creeks will be at least 10ft under the water body. Keep in mind, that Devon will go the cheapest route, so if you put too many costly stipulations they will go around you. I don’t know about the yearly rental, and have not heard of anyone getting one.

Ronald, only if they want to declare themselves common carriers and many would not like to do that because then anyone who wanted to could buy space in their pipeline and piggyback on their expenditure. The pipeline operator would rather sell capacity as they desire rather be obligated to sell capacity because if/ when they run out of capacity, they will have to build another line. Big difference between can and must.

I could not help but notice and welcome mr. Ronald Lee Pilkinton to the Logan County roster, welcome. I was wondering if he is any relation to a Robert Von Pilkinton I used to hang out with?

I have heard discussions of Imminent domain, as well, in that Public interest oughtweighs land owners whims, especially if the land owner is obviously holding out for moe money moe money moe money. We can talk the great American Dream of real estate ownership all we want, but in the end we own nothing as individuals.

Linda, thanks for this, it is yet another indicator that allah this outrageous claiming I have done here is really some thing we will have as reality and sooner vs later. Average of the SandyRidge is over 1,500 BOD, and it was an old vertical re-opened. It is yet another indicator that old wells never die, and they do not fade away. I gots an old vertical and believe it ain’t over for it yet, not by a long shot.

The only quesion about that article is the claim that the wells mentioned cost over 500 Million to drill, I really have my doubts about that. Maybe 5 or 6 million tops, but 500 million? hmmmmmm.

I think we could all smile if Ruffed Grouse topped 1,500 BOD, and yes, I believe it is very possible.

I believe that is correct, Linda, although the categories in the table are sort of vague, it is pretty obvious you have to be careful reading some of this stuff. I have to be careful reading cause my brain goes faster than my eyes. 650 K of course makes sense. I do not know yet how much it cost to have our original vertical well drilled in Logan near 30-17-3, but I will check it all out when the Army moves our stuff from Fort Knox storage to Orlando in October. Every time I read these old reports, I discover something new, and sometimes rather strange.

Interesting article I ran across the other day:

http://theenergyharbinger.com/2013/07/01/verticals-could-be-key-to-…

Believe the article stated 650K cost for vertical well.

Nope, not watching football. It’s Bud time…Nope, don’t work for NSA. Just a retired ole fart enjoying retirement with my wife. Ain’t life great. Just programmed a new Moultrie Game Camera. Set it outside to get videos of a female red fox that come in backyard every night to eat dog food we feed her.

Steven,

Remember it’s Friday Night and that means ‘Football’.

Clint Liles

Am I no longer getting a feed on this site or were all of you speculators abducted by the NSA? I can only hope your royalty payments have put white sandy beach between your toes.

Clint, Yes, but the last word was Monday. I am afraid something sinister has happened to Mr. Wilson. Glad to hear you are okay Clint, but sorry you are watching football rather than crashing waves. You don’t by any chance work for the NSA do you?

Mr Von Wilson, me, believe it or not, has indeed spent 2 terms as an Army community mayor at Fort Mewade, (NSA) in Maryland and that is the truth, but I know nothing about the NSA. I doubt that there is one. LOL As for white sand beaches, I am at this very minute writing this post at the Holiday Inn located in Winter Park, (Orlando) Florida. It is indeed beautiful here, and lunch today will be at the world famous Landrie’s Seafood Restaurant at Disney World nearby. NSA??? Really.

Catherine, what has your oil well been producing?

You usually won’t get a division order for six months. A little earlier if you are lucky. If they don’t pay you at six months, you can ask for the 12% interest penalty.

db----been a while. Rained here last night and this morning, cooled off, and all the greens are two shades brighter, my favorite time of year. Hummingbirds are feeding frantically and getting ready to travel south. Hardly any news of interest to me on the forum. Are they still flaring gas or is the pipe line hooked up and the gas is being metered? As I count, nearly 8 weeks of moving oil off the lease and I look for a division order every day, but nothing yet. Guess I’m getting impatient again—Happy Trails

Tim West----Oil-----how much, I don’t know. The well is in 20-17-3, a Slawson well, the Ruffed Grouse. They started moving oil the last week of July and flaring the gas until they had the equipment in place to meter and sell the gas. I understand that it is not unusual for it to be 3 or 4 months before you find out all the good things you want to know. We live in the Osage hills of Osage Co. and if I want some good information, I ask db Thank you db.

Along with the news release today, Osage updated status of Logan County wells on their web page under the Projects Tab and Nemeha Ridge Project. They have added several Devon wells to the list. I assume they have a part interest in those wells. Wish they would give some better production numbers. Seems like Osage is spoon feeding info to try to get their share price up.

I doubit it will be 6 months Catherine/Claude. It is also my understanding oil was going out more like the first of July or even last of June. Typical is 90-101 days for something to happen, again this is just the information I am getting. I like it when these Lone Ranger masked guys come in here pretending to not be who they are, they do it on Facebook, Twitter and all the other sites, too, and think they are fooling someong LOL

Does anyone know information if an oil or gas well been drilled on 29 19N 2W Logan County, Oklahoma? And will the gas line run through this legal description?
