Flowback? Here is a link describing it in great detail and very easy to understand…
db-----been 10 days since they started fraccing already. Hope you had a nice, quiet, holiday week-end. We traveled to a family re-union, but it wasn’t far. How’s your pasture looking now? Has the noise level gone down? Sure hope so!!!
just returned from crested butte colo. well waiting on flow back
db-------thank you again. Beautiful country Colorado. Have spent some time in Gunneson and seen the sights. Weonly got as far as Newkirk up in Kay County.
I spent some good length of time at YOUR GRANDFATHER’S MUSTACHE in Golden Colorado one summer. The girls were so nice, so was the Coors.
Was wondering if anyone has seen a request or order for pooling in sec 25 19n 2w my computer is on the blink have been unable to get into oracle on the occ thanks.

db-----pray your family, friends, and neighbors all survived the storms. We are on a small, private, lake between Pawhuska and Bartlesville in the Osage hills. The bad storms went North and South of us, t5he ones that hit us dumped over 6" rain last 3 days. We are 1/4–1/2 mile from the damn and could hear the water going over the spillway. Hopefully the storms have moved out of our area. Take care----
everything is fine out here ,the r,grouse well is awaiting connections for production test
db-----hey, they’re moving this show right along. Won;t be long now before we find out if they were right. I have faith in them, lots and lots and lots of faith!
Catherine I have that same faith and feeling, but more faith in Gods ability to put the petroleum vaults where we need them. Osage needs a biggee, that is for sure, and if this well does not come in at over a thousand bbde, I say just cap it until they get the technology right. If it comes in at 50 bbd, and they work it for all they caqn with the tech they have now, then it would be settling for “…well, that’s the best we can do…” and this is not the real entrepeneurs way of doing things. I think there is much more down there than our geoligists and explorers even have a hit at. They are wrong more than they are right, that is why we see an average in Oklahoma at only 2-3 bbd.
This isn’t Cathy but----we spent the Memorial weekend at our annual family reunion. I had the oppurtunity to visit with relatives in the oil business. Two from western Kansas have working interest and another in the landman end with a WI. This is in North central Kansas around Hays. The wells are all vertical and not as deep as the Mississippi shale, so the expense is only like 25% of a horizontal. They are happy to get a 15 - 25 bbl/day well, very happy. A “biggee” would be nice over there in Logan counyt, but I don’t think Osage or Slawson is interested in glory, just $$$$$$$$$. Don’t know how good a well it would have to be to make Osage and Slawson happy, but if they are happy, I’m very happy.
Ok, I have friends in southern west kansas who were happy with 32 or so bbd, but that was 20-25 years ago. Today, it is not uncommon for the 750-1250 bbd well. My thinking in everything like this is that where would we be if everyone in 1912 thought the Wright Brothers 700 foot flight was the best they could do. A hundred bbd a day is certainly not the best we can do today by any means, and I predict thousand bbd wells will be popping up all over Oklahoma tout d’suite, and Osage knows this is true. Just hide and watch.
In 1912, if the Wright Bros. could have done better, they would have landed that glider further down the beach. I wonder if your Grandpa Wright was related to those fly-boys Ron? How long do I have to hide and watch to see one of those 1000 BPD wells? I turn 80 this month, but I’m shooting for a 100, you don’t hear of many people over a 100 dying, so I might be around to see one of them.
I have vertical wells that cost as much per acre as some horizontal wells because the vertical can be on 160 or 80 acre spacing or maybe less. The cost of most of the horiz. are divided by 640 acres.
Logan County already has 1000 bbd wells, also Payne County, Alfalfa County and a few others. The record in Oklahoma is a tad over 7,000 bbd. Depoending on geoligsts to give us all of the answers is akin to the rece4nt discovery of 12 active, flowing volcanos in Alaska that have been active for centuries, but the geolisists have just missed them completely. Earth is constantly changing underground and what Logan County was 10 miles deep today is different from what it was 10 years ago.
It all changes.
If I get some time I might look at what is going on around you . That would be all I would know to do at this time. If you don’t hear from me ask about it again in a few days.
Does anyone have any current information on section 31, township 19N, range2West, Logan County. A pooling order was approved in early March. I leased this for really nice money and was hoping to get something out of it. This is second time I’ve leased this but last lease was 5 years ago or so.
The most important thing in regards to a “good well” for Osage and Slawson both, is providing important input for stockholders and potential stockholders. I think under 4-500 bbd is not really too impressive to potential stockholders, but who knows, greed can happen at all levels.
Every time I read my records regarding 20-17-3 Logan County I see a tad bit info I had overlooked. Exaqmple, just what does the 1-20 indicate in the Name of RUFFED GROUSE 1-20? Also, pooling for 20-17-3 refers to the drilling of the “INITIAL WELL.” Is this saying there will be more wells? There are several sections around that are having multiple wells drilled even as we speak. If so, must they get a new drilling permit for the multiple well?
I have come to the conslusion that every single word or phrase on all of these issued documents has a significant meaning.
