Does anybody know who is leasing in Lewis County right now?

I've heard that there is some drilling going on somewhere around Jane Lew right now. Does anyone know if that's the case?

Read my post of today in the General Discussion forum: http://www.mineralrightsforum.com/forum/topics/is-chesapeake-selling-out-to-statoil-in-west-virginia

Received by Consol a lease that we inheirted mineral rights on 1196 acres and they are drilling in the center 40 acres, 8 to 12 wells. Not sure how to deal with This? Need advice,Freemans Creek area

Does any one with knowlege answer bk on this site. Have one friend that answered me, and we are in the same boat

Was wondering if anyone in lewis cty has been contacted by cnx/ consol about leasing their minerals recently?

There's definitely a little bit of activity going on in Lewis County. I haven't been hired by anybody to negotiate anything, so I can't say what kinds of numbers are being thrown around, but it seems to me you could probably negotiate a new lease up to $2,500/acre and 18% gross proceeds.
