I ask this question over a year ago and at that time nothing was going on.Does anyone know if anything is going on at Thomas Collingham Survey Abstract 160 and Eddy Sparks Abstract 782? Any information would be helpful.
Comstock and Mitsui have leased acreage in both of those surveys.

Comstock has a rig running on a couple of horizontal wells about two miles to the west.
That’s interesting. I’ve got a chunk of minerals in the Collingham A-160 too. My Comstock lease expired at the end of last year and is still unleased. One brokerage group handed the renewal off to another group that said they are swamped with work. So things just got pushed aside. I don’t believe Comstock is even aware of it.
Jerry Jones said in a podcast that they would have 26 drilling rigs in Leon County in 2026. I talked to a few people around the county and it doesn’t sound its 26 rigs around the county.
You may want to check a few different record sources on this one.
For the Thomas Collingham Survey A-160 and Eddy Sparks Survey A-782 in Leon County, I’d start with the Leon County deed records for recent leases, assignments, and memorandums, then cross-check against RRC permits/completions and production in the surrounding area.
If Comstock and Mitsui have leased acreage in both surveys, that usually suggests there may be continued interest in the area, even if there has not been direct activity on that exact tract yet.
I’d also look at nearby horizontal wells and unit boundaries to see whether either survey falls close to current development.
