Legal Descriptions

Are Well Number, Section, Block, and Survey enough of a legal description on mineral deed to be valid?

Sometimes I see decimal and RI or ORRI too…which makes sense.

the entire deed itself needs to be reviewed. But if the deed says “grantor hereby grants sells and conveys all of their right title and interest in and to the oil and gas in, on and under, the described lands” and then it goes on to just mention the Asbtract and County, State OR Sec-TSP-RGE County, State, then yes it is valid. You would really only put the well name on there in the event the intent was to only convey a specific wellbore or except a specific wellbore.

A legal description really just has to describe the property so that someone can reasonably identify the boundary that the deed pertains to.
