Leasing or selling our family mineral rights

My family has mineral rights in North Dakota (North Slope County). At one time (at least 40 years ago or more) the family leased wells then capped after the lease ended. As the next generation, we are interested in selling or leasing again. We have paperwork. We have reconfirmed and updated ownership personal information. How do we find going rates and shall we contact the original leasing company, contact middleman/agent, or start contacting companies direct? We have a list of companies currently drilling in the area.

If your name and address are properly filed in the county courthouse, agents will be able to find you. There has been a bit of leasing in the last five years-mostly in in 135-136N 102W-106W. Most of the leasing was by the State of North Dakota.
