My family has mineral rights in ND (N Slope Co). At one time (at least 40 yrs ago or more) the fam. leased wells then capped after lease ended. As the next generation we are interested in selling or leasing again. We have paperwork. We have reconfirmed and updated ownership personal information. How do we find going rates and shall we contact the original leasing Co, contact middle man/agent or start contacting companies direct??? We have a list of companies currently drilling in the area.
If your name and address are properly filed in the county courthouse, agents will be able to find you. There has been a bit of leasing in the last five years-mostly in in 135-136N 102W-106W. Most of the leasing was by the State of North Dakota.
