Has anyone done a recent lease with East Texas Energy? They have been slowly recording leases in Cherokee County since November 2021. Mostly less than five at a time until they filed 42 on August 28. The leases recorded so far total about 21,000 gross acres.
A mapping of the surveys containing leased acreage reveals that East Texas Energy is clearly working with Key Exploration:

East Texas Energy is an operating company, but it has not permitted a well in Texas since 2016. Is ETE the E&P company behind the leasing? Seems unlikely to me…
Can anyone add information regarding this large leasing project?
