The lease bonus is usually paid only once. Rental lease payments are extremely rare these days. If a well has royalties, they are paid according to the terms of your lease. Many operators have a clause in their division orders that the minimum royalty payment is $100 or once a year. You can usually change that to $25 in many states. So depending upon the volume of well product, how many net acres you have and your royalty choice, you could be paid frequently or just annually.
