Why would Baptist Foundation of Texas be on my lease on file under my name ??
Are they listed as the grantor or the grantee?
Grantee with myself, Hunt & marubemi eagle ford LP
Hunt & marubeni are grantor
That sounds backwards. The grantor is the lessor (mineral owner) and the grantee is the company or agent that leases.
It sounds like an ancestor gave part of their minerals to an heir and made the Baptist Foundation an owner or the residual owner if the heir dies. Would have to see the original probate or granting language to actually figure it out.
