Lease copies

Hi,

I inherited some mineral rights but I can't find copies of the leases, what is the best way to obtain copies of the lease? I know the names of the companies who are leasing.

If the leases are old you might find them recorded at the county courthouse. If newer they might still be found at the county courthouse but often in recent years just a memorandum is recorded in which case, only the lessee or their assigns would have a copy....and they may not.

Most companies have Help Desk type webpages. You may have to prove who you are, but they normally will be happy to provide you with copies of your leases, Division Orders, etc.
