Looking for guidance on bonus for a lease in Dimmit County, Texas. My brothers and I own 25% of the minerals in Abstract 604. I expect a 25% royalty and they want all depths for three years.
Should the bonus be $500, $750, $1,000 or $1,250 per nma?

The Fatheree lease to the east looks like it’s going to do $5MM in revenue in the first two years. That would come out to about $1,000/acre, but that looks like Austin Chalk. With potential in the Buda, Georgetown, Eagle Ford and Pearsall, I’d lean towards 1,500 or higher even; although, with oil prices falling and low gas not sure how high they will go. Also, depends on their timing for drilling.
