League and Labor

Can anyone tell me where to get a map of Dawson County showing League and Labor boundaries?

Suggest you zoom in almost to maximum magnification on Dawson county and use your mouse or your keyboard’s arrow buttons to move to your area of interest in TX RRC’s map viewer. It would help greatly if you have an abstract number or know the survey name.

Here are a couple of links that might help you.

On the page that comes up from the Texas General Land Office you’ll need to accept the terms on the first page and on the next page use the pull down menu to select “Search by County” and put in Dawson.

Call the General land Office, 1-800-998-4456. They are $15.00 each with free shipping.

The best place to go is the website of the Texas Railroad Commission and click Public GIS Viewer map. When you get there use toolbar to find and focus in on Dawson County, then scroll in closer to area until it shows the blocks and sections. Also learn to use the toolbar across the top, especially the “identify wells” icon. There you can get loads of info including lease names, lease numbers, and production numbers.
