Lookin for activity in 10N 27E?

Since Chesapeake Energy is in the news a lot for its troubles, any ideas about leases to that company signed in 2008 for 5 years? Might Chesapeake try to sell its leases? Or just let them expire?

Nancy– Either might happen. Watch the natural gas price. If it continues to go up, you’ll be OK either way.

Hi, I'm new to this so any help would be appreciated. My mother, who is 90 years old, owns mineral interests in section 23, 26 and 27. There are producing wells there. There are/were three companies that she received royalties from; Cheaspeake, BP and of course Redwine they are now bankrupt. Back in 1990 she had some correspondence from a landman who offered her $300 per acre/ 125 acres. We are trying to get some information on what it might be worth today. Does anyone have any information on where I should start my research? Thanks. Liz

Some years back Redwine went bankrupt, but I see on the OCC that a company named Jaco Energy and Stephens Production Co took over active wells in section 27 9n 24e, LeFlore County. Does anyone have any information on these companies?

Liz,

This is what I found on Stephens Production Co. From what I read it is a very solid company.

Liz, historically GHK & Chesapeake have been major players in LeFlore County.

Thanks to Clint and Ann for the information. I will be doing some research and follow up in the next week.

Liz,

I may know of an interested buyer.

Does anyone know of a company interested in Sec. 23-1-26 in Leflore Co. Oklahoma? Can lease or sell minerals to interested party.

House Bill 2177 is being discussed in the Oklahoma House right now, and it impacts royalty owners. It's worth the time to read and listen to this.
