Just received 2 large offers to buy my inherited leases from my dad who’s had them since the 50’s but his dad had them before that.
Sprayberry Driver Unit. R.S. Davenport ‘A’, Tract 76, Section 14, Range 37. This is largest offer.
Sprayberry Driver Unit. R.S. Davenport ‘C’, Tract 58, Section 11, Range 37. This is half of above offer. These 2 above have activity recently all around them.
I have 2 others but no offers in over a few years. They are:
Sprayberry Driver Unit. R.S. Davenport ‘B’, Tract 36, Section 2, Range 37.
Sprayberry Driver Unit. R.S. Davenport ‘B’, Tract 4 & 5, Section 1, 11, 12, Range 37.
I also have Jeff Davis County 6 blocks, Crockett County 4 blocks and Reeves County several blocks.
I will never sell but just looking to see what’s going on especially Glasscock as it looks active again.
You mentioned Jeff Davis County. Is there activity there now? I’ve had 10 acres for 7 years and it’s been crickets. Thanks. Congratulations on your opportunities!
Keith, I now have 2,850 acres in Block 57. I didn’t see much there at all; as you put it, lots of crickets, found 1 of our gas wells Quicksilver Resources but nothing else.
Here are 3 blocks of interesting larger offers a few weeks ago, seems they found out my dad passed away and are hoping I’ll sell since he never would. Activity 1 block to the west, south and north and east 2 blocks.
Thanks for the info. Over 2,800 acres is amazing! I believe Data Centers will be coming to the area over the next few years. I am positive you’ll be definitely contacted. That’s a lot of acres!
I have interest in Glasscock but not where you are!! As you already know you have Legacy assets - the great thing about Spraberry Trend is that so much acreage has been in the core of the Wolfcamp play. To give some perspective we were buying minerals in Howard/Glasscock in 2011 for $300 an acre. Look at the map and see what the old Spraberry wells in your acreage have done!! Clearly with Section 14 being surrounded by horizontal wells you are in what sure looks like a sweet spot. Question most ask is why it hasn’t already been drilled??? Your Dad was too tough to deal with or someone was – Good luck.
Yes my grandfather and my dad were very tough to budge but they had good income 50-70s in these areas.
Now it’s on me I won’t sell but when offers start coming in at 6 figures it makes you think.
I see it shows one of our wells says on schedule so maybe something going on. It’s Pioneer Resources.
Looks like 0.4 mile from me right next to block line are 6 newer permitted ready to go. Looks like my six blocks in this section are surrounded by horizontals and 12+ newly permitted.
I can only take reading these maps for about an hour then I got to take a break.
We have rights in the same blocks. And like you, our father recently passed and handed these down to us. We won’t sell but would entertain lease offers. Thanks for posting, I haven’t checked the RRC for updates in a few months.
Correction to first above map sections in yellow I missed 2 sections. We have these 5 sections all with current leases in place and a few new permits filed. The more I research the more I find. The horizontals are numerous all around.
Happy New Year! I have some inherited property in that vicinity! What is the site to pull up this map? I knew years ago but not sure now! I’d love to see what’s happening around my mineral interests. I have interests in Section 43, Block 35. TIA
Are your interests royalty only or do you have any working interests as well? I have some old interests that have been passed down through my family from around the same time period as your interests in the Spraberry Driver Unit as well. I have only recently been able to manage my portion of these particular interests and we are trying to figure out if we are being paid and JIB invoiced correctly. So I had been hoping to hear from some other small working interest owners in that area whose operator is Pioneer Resources or now Exxon to see if they had ever had any issues. I do have a great oil and gas attorney. He advised the next step is probably to have a Landman to look into it all for us.
