Hi, I believe I may need a Landman. I do not know much about mineral interests or exactly how much land I have that is being used. This land is in Oklahoma. Does anyone know of a Landman in Oklahoma?
You may not need a landman just yet. Do you have the section, township and range of the acreage? Do you have probate or deed documents? If you do, them you can post a question in the county in OK and ask about the Section, township and range and what activity is happening there. Then we can direct you to the operator before hiring a landman. See the Counties tab above.
Hello, Thank you for your response. I have the Section, Township and Range. I have also the operator. They also transferred to my name. They had an issue with transferring it because they did not believe the land/undersurface came along with the land, which it did. They were unhappy about that, I believe. I have been dealing with a lady one on one. I had to reach out to her multiple times requesting the status. She contacted me and stated she needed my address to send my division order. Never came. I emailed multiple times and she then stated I need to fill out the W9. I did that, still no reply back about the division order. I received a message stating I have got the attention of many people and they have helped me and I will be getting a check. Well no check has come, no division order and no communication back. Yesterday, I decided to call and asked the status through their regular owner line. I was told they did not have the W9 uploaded, and the way the account was set it looks as if I will not receive a division order. I’m unsure why. They gave me my percentage, which is like $40.00 a year and there is no lease attached. I asked why is all this and basically I am getting the run around. The person who owned the land prior to me I see was heavy in the oil and gas. I believe he had a good percentage or something where they do not want to provide his documents. They have not even spoken with me about the upper which I was told had equipment on and the under or lease. All this they did on their own and I am unsure how they came up with what they have. So this is where I am today and need help. This prior owner had a lot of wells throughout. So this is why I think I may need a landman or title attorney. Any suggestions
