I recently inherited 25 acres of land in Wayne County, Mississippi from my grandfather, Tommie Robinson. He left a total of 35 acres. The other 10 will go to my cousin. Right now it is still in probate until June. The location is at Section 1, Township 6 North, Range 9 West (near the S. Thompson Creek Field) in Wayne County, Mississippi. I found papers in my grandfather’s things that indicated that Shell Oil had leased the land back in 1957. I am interested in leasing this land and would love to see a rig go up for gas or oil. I’m not sure if a company is leasing land in this area at this time. I would appreciate a response.
