I own 160 acres of land that is surrounded by Chevron on 3 sides and another landowner on another side in Reeves County. There is no real access to my land that I am aware of. What is my best course of action to access my land besides renting a helicopter! I would like to walk the land and explore without getting shot for being mistaken for a trespasser. I inherited the land several years ago and would like to see it and walk on it. Any suggestions? Thanks.
There is no easement available to you crossing one of your neighbors' properties?
I suggest that you first check to see if any easements were previously "granted" or "reserved in your deed or other legal instrument. I have attached a copy of what I call Easements 101 by Judon Fambrough. This would be an excellent document for you to read to better acquaint youself with the Creation of Private Easements. It may be possible that you have the requirements for an Easement by Necessity.
Good luck,
Pat

Good advice from Pat. If the gates are locked, I suggest you contact whoever is operating the surrounding surface and ask for access so you can pay a visit. The easement by necessity would be over the tract that your land was severed from.
Thanks to all of you for your information and advice. I will attempt to contact the appropriate parties. Thanks Pat for the attachment.
No sir.
