Anyone been leasing in Trego County or nearby counties? I have heard that royalty rates have risen to 3/16 to 1/4 in various Kansas counties. I am used to Texas royalty rates and want to find out more about current Kansas rates. Thanks.
I've been leasing in Kansas and the highest I've paid is 3/16ths royalty. In general, royalty rates are lower than those in Texas due to the lack of proven reserves and higher risk.
Do you have minerals in Trego County that are open by any chance?
