Would be interested in hearing from any and all who have been approached and or have completed a leasing agreement for mineral intereast in the Kimball Co., NE and surrounding Niobrara Shale area.
Just would like to know what offers have been made and/or accepted.
Were you recently offered a lease? I followed all the leasing activity a few years ago but I thought they all pulled out.
Have had a couple inquiries. We know that NE isn't a hot-bed, but with Kimball Co., at the corner by WY and CO and within the Niobrara Shale area, we just figured they were "pushing the edge" somewhat. Just curious what leases were going for in that area in the past and currently. Do you know?
You say you have recently been offered a lease or what do you mean by had a couple inquiries? There was a fair amount of leasing activity a couple years ago for Niobrara but a lot fell thru and was never paid on bonus, they were getting $40 to 150 per acre. There is a lot of older active formations in the county, the state oil & gas gis is decent, I had used it when I was considering purchasing minerals in the county at the time and helped some with their lease negotiations.
