Keystone Pipeline Easement

We own minerals in Liberty County,TX and are getting certified letters about a pipeline easement for the Keystone Pipeline. We only own minerals, not the surface. Why are we getting this corespondance if we only own the minerals?

Perhaps that is why we are receiving unsolicited offers to purchase our mineral rights in Liberty County. I receive at least one letter per month.

If they are certified, get an attorney. I would make them pay dearly as it will affect your surface value.

If you are confident in your ownership, prepare a very strong pipeline agreement with a very broad disclaimer of warranty that allows you to keep in monies paid in the event of title failure. And tell Keystone what you told us.
