Hi! Wondered if anyone would please provide any info on a fair rate for mineral lease in/around Kaufman County, Texas? We own 150 acres and have been offered $195 per acre and a12.5% share. Sounds low to us, but guess that's why we're asking.

I'm a new guy on the block, not having been around the oil business for long, so take what I say as info to think about only. I have never heard of 12.5 royalty. That is extremely low IMO. I don't know whether the $195.00 bonus is good. Depends on whether there is any activity in your area. I would certainly get a lot more info, which is why you're here. Good Luck with it.
