My family and I have oil rights in this area (and others) and wondering if they are drilling any time soon. I was told that Jerry Jones has spent millions with new drilling technology in our areas.

We do not own land just the oil rights. After 12 years (2007-2008), which stopped, we now started getting leases again (for much more than past years), in 2023-24.

In all the years that they have leased we have never seen any oil or gas. Now they are sending us leases again, so all we can do is hope. And of course getting offer letters so buy.

Does anyone have knowledge of this ?

Read the Leon and Freestone County postings over the last few months and you can get caught up. Comstock is doing a lot of leasing and drilling. What is the block and abstract number?

This is just one of the mineral rights my family owns, that I am considering selling, and was told if I am selling it is the best as the others are more valuable and was told about the Olajawon well.
