I wouldn’t SORTA call them investors. Although they DO purchase leases, they also sometimes sell them again, but personally, I believe it’s for tax write-off purposes to help Offset something else.

I dont see any permits filed in that area of Jeff Davis County. An old dry hole in blk 363. I would call them and ask. Most are willing to let you know a little information. Check with the County and see if any leases are being filed.

Do you own surface or minerals or both? Maybe interest is related to data centers or solar or other surface use.
I own the surface rights but iam going to check my deed to see if I own minerals too. I never checked to even know. But you’re right there could be something happening out that way. Thank you
