I recently became aware that I have a tiny interest in this survey and I can’t seem to determine if there is current production. Any pointers are greatly appreciated.
Looks like there are at least two gas wells and one dry hole and a shut in gas well which is the short one. If you give the block, abstract number (I see the name) and section, that will help a bit more so we can check the two gas wells to see if still in production.
The two gas wells are producing. You can zoom in on the RCC using the “I” symbol for wells Left well-Dinkins JG
Right well. Lanier CW
Can you share with me where you located the production numbers? I seem to be hitting a brick wall.
Thank You!
See on the map where I pulled up the info on the well. Lower left “production data query”. (Need the live map)
I don’t pull that box up. I get a box that does not stay open to screenshot, so I can’t share it.
There is limited information when I click the well site.
There are no links. I’m a bit confused… Thank you for taking the time to guide me.
Pick Leon county in the dropdown box. Go to the magnifying glass and pick Surveys-then put in A-543 for the McKelvey survey. Zoom in until you see the wells. Then use the “i” symbol on the upper bar a bit to the left of center and select “wells”. Touch the bottom hole symbol of the well of interest and the box will pop open.
Scroll inside the box until you see the Completion Record at the bottom. Then pick the live blue “production data query(pdq)” option and the production box will open.
You may need to be on a computer and not a phone or tablet. I have not used the smaller options.
Thank You, so much!!!
As it turns out, I have a NPRI on about 2 acres in that survey, right at the NE edge. Oh, well, I guess I can’t buy that steak I’ve been looking
at… Does make me curious why Comstock would go to the trouble to initiate a ratification agreement for an area with no well. Thanks so much for your help!
rockindubya,
Don’t count yourself out. For your interest to be pooled, you had to ratify a lease or leases of the mineral interest from which your NPRI was carved. If you know the units in the area, you can search the unit designations for the lease or leases that you ratified. If those leases have been pooled, you’re in, too. It’s not real difficult to check. However, I don’t want to throw water on your parade but a 2 acre NPRI in one of those large allocation units can be very diluted, but I hope you luck out. Regards, Phil
Hi there! I saw this message board and have some questions regarding mineral right ownership in Leon County. I am a teacher in Arkansas and not familiar with this sort of thing. Some family members and I were contacted by a company who wants to buy our mineral rights. It is my understanding that my mineral rights are in Abstract 470- Isaac Killough Survey and Abstract 1107- M. Guinan Survey. I understand this area is being drilled on, but have not heard of any production. We were offered a lump sum of money to sell 100% of our mineral rights. Would it be wise to sell at this time?
As it turned out, the pooling involved about 2500 acres, with active production!
I am far from an expert, just hold a bit in two separate areas in Leon County. $1-2K was the approximate offer some 10-15 years ago. Regularly $4-5K now. One recent one: “Up to $14K per NMA, depending on location, operator, production, and royalty.” (FWIW)
Do some research. Good Luck
