Is there a database of mineral rights

I received a court notice last week that my property in Oklahoma County is one that a company is planning on doing horizontal drilling under? It says I can appear in Tulsa County Court to say whatever I might want to. Then, this week I received a call from a Chance with Spring Rock Minerals saying he wanted to talk to me about some mineral rights in OK County. I can only assume he means the ones under my property, but I don’t even know that I own ANY mineral rights. Can anyone tell me if there is a database I can look it up on?

  1. There is no such database.
  2. Some suggestions. I suspect Spring Rock wants to lease or purchase your minerals in Okla. county. Ask him what the legal description is, was it from an ancestor and how much you own.
  3. You can always log onto the Oklahoma County Clerk’s website and do a search. Check your name, your father’s name, your mothers name, etc, until you find something.
