Is Chevron A Possible Buyer For Chesapeake?

I would hope so, just to get rid of the problems I have had with CHK would be a blessing to all Royalty Owners.

Larry and Joel,

Agreed 100%.

My lease is also with Chesapeake. I’d like to find out what problems people have had with them? Thank you

A lot of unhappy Mineral and Royalty owners out there because of the actions of Chesapeake. I would never do business with this bunch of crooks.

Hi Clint,

I don't have much choice at the moment, as the rights I inherited were already under lease with them.

I have just begun researching the issue of mineral rights, as I have no experience with them.

Chesapeake made me a paltry offer on my rights - saying that my section was "depleted." (Old vertical wells.)

Luckily I contacted the Oklahoma Corporation Commission - and they gave me some very interesting and positive info about the section directly adjacent to mine, that could have a huge impact on my section.

They told me not to sell out cheaply and fall for Chesapeake's offer.

I am now shopping for a buyer.

However, I'm unsure how to proceed - and would appreciate any feedback.

That is why I came to this forum.

Any suggestions?

Thanks,

AJ

AJ,

Find yourself a good 'Oil and Gas Attorney' or you will end up with the short end of the stick dealing with Chesapeake. Good luck.

I agree...you need to find a good oil and gas attorney to go to bat for you with CHK. For seven months I have been trying secure my "held in suspense" royalties from CHK. I continue to get the "run around". I am currently looking for a reputable oil and gas attorney in Louisiana (preferably in the Shreveport area) to assist me in securing my money. Anyone have a suggestion? R Jones

LOL, do not have time to go into all the problems with them. they play the shell game with royalty owners. Be sure to check out the production that is turned into the state for every month and check your royalty check stub to be sure they pay you for the correct amount. That has happend to me twice, still waiting for the last one to be corrected. Said it would be included on this next month check. Will have to see how they will try to get out of it. They did on the first time.

Does anyone have any luck getting someone on the phone at CHK? Each time I attempt to call in to talk with a customer service person, I am put on hold so long that I finally give up (has been up to 30-45 minutes).
