My family owns mineral rights to some land in Doddridge County, West Virginia and an oil company owning wells in that area wants to do horizontal drilling. I would appreciate hearing from anyone in that area who has experience with this type of effort. I am just beginning the learning process about this and would appreciate pointers on how/where to learn more about leases, royalties, etc. before signing any document at all.
