I have sent a written request for a drilling title opinion, two actually, but I was wondering if it is a document that is difficult to obtain?
TIA,
Bob

Most companies will not give them out, unless the lease form so provides. They are a proprietary work product between an attorney and his client (the oil company).
It comes down to company policy in many cases.
Thanks Mr. Cotton. I was advised to request the DTO on good faith so perhaps it will happen, who knows? BTW, I read all of "Bass" including the TX Supreme Court arguments. Really great stuff. Lots of legal speak!
