Investing in Mineral rights from abroad

I’m from the UK and would like to invest in mineral rights and unpatented mining claims in USA.

  1. Is it legal for a foreigner to invest in either of these?

  2. Is there a minimum amount of earnings before you need to pay taxes?

  3. Is there a valid risk of somebody else draining your acreage from a neighbouring property?

  4. To anyone out there with experience of investing in minerals do you find it to be more effective than buying stocks in oil companies generally?

  5. Where are other good places to look for mineral rights for sale besides this forum?

  2. Yes there is a minimum; it is $500.

  3. Not at all, there are poolings.

  4. Much more profitable.
