Interested in leasing again

We have mineral rights that were leased several years ago. They ran out without a word from the company leasing and I was wondering how we can find out if anyone might be interested in a new lease. Our rights are part of the J.H. Mitchel Survey, A-545, and David J. Wilson Survey, A-940 & A-941. We also have another family member with equal shares. Is there anything we need to be doing to let anyone know we would be interested in leasing again? Any help would be appreciated!!

Thanks.

Where are these minerals in relation to Oakwood?

There are 2 plugged gas wells that go back to 1984, there is a permit applied for but who knows how far back it goes. This is in A-545. Nothing going on in A-940 or 941. You can track it on the RRC website.

Generally speaking, being an owner of minerals is a passive activity for unleased minerals. Be sure that your current address is indexed against your legal description (survey) and kept up to date. If a company wants to develop the area they will contact you.
