Could someone help me understand this statement? I’m receiving royalties on a well in Grady County but on my statements it shows that I’m being charged for an interest payment for the Sundance Kid well in Stephens County. I’m not sure what that means.
Recommend that you contact the Revenue department of the Operator and ask what the charge is, why and what documentation supports it. Usually, the interest goes the other way and comes to you. They may have overpaid an interest payment recently and are recouping an error. Go back to your earlier statements and see if there is a positive interest payment. (And save your statements for seven years for the IRS).
