Grandmother has 80 acres in Michigan that has been on the market for awhile. Original owner had mineral rights for 25 years that have now lapsed. Out of the blue, an Oil exploration company contacted her wanting to lease her land. Of course they want to sign a contract immediately. What do we do? Where do we go to get good advice?
