Inherited mineral rights in two places-- new to this, BPX wants to purchase one of them

My family and I inherited mineral rights in Caddo Parish, Louisiana and Panola County, Texas.

In Panola it is Lewis-Miles Bell-Roberson 4H, 5H, 3H and Miles Bell Roberson A 2HJDF and AL 1HJDF. Silver Hill Energy is managing those royalties, and I am always getting letters from companies wanting to purchase them.

In Caddo Parish it is Section 3 Township 17 Range 16, and I have around a 3-acre ownership there. PBX is drilling there, and just offered me $8,500 an acre to buy my rights.

Any help is welcome—I have spent time here and there trying to figure out what I have and what it’s worth, and a BPX Landman just figured out the title chain for the Caddo property.

I naturally recommend that you reach out to other buyers of Haynesville Shale minerals before getting serious about selling. There are plenty of aggressive buyers out there.

Good luck!

If BPX is offering to purchase, this indicates they see significant future value and continued production for the LA property. Maven Royalty in Shreveport will probably go to $20K/ac in a heartbeat if you want to sell.
