60 acres in section 12-23N-13W. Is this worth anything? The lease expires on June 3rd, 2027. I guess I should try and sell it to an oil/gas developer? Who else would want it? Thanks.
Assuming you’re not in drilling end of the business, your best option is to find a nearby operator in 23n-13W to sell to or farmout.
Why would you want to sell if it’s lease and operator has until June 2027 to drill your lease what’s happening in near by leases have they drilled wells . You best money is if there is activity and they product you a well
that was my thinking also, just wanted to see if there was any other angle out there. Thanks.
All wells in that section are inactive. Canvas Energy has some horizontal wells permitted in 23N-14W, so they might be interested. MK&P has been leasing for somebody in that section, so you might contact them. Diversified has been drilling some horizontal wells in the township, so that is another option.
Thanks very much!
I read the question to say that the poster inherited leasehold interests, not minerals.
