Inherited land in nacogdoches tx

I recently inherited 4 acres of low land. There is history of company’s offering to buy the land. Is it worth looking into? Thank you for the feedback.

Finnmor, did you inherit the surface acreage or mineral interest or both? And give the Section, Block and/or Abstract # and you will possibly get an answer to your question.

And Welcome to the Forum

The abstract # A-429 and the section/lot is P-4. Thank you for the feedback. I know nothing about this kind of stuff so anything is helpful.

Abstract 429/JL Pettijohn Survey is located SW of Nacogdoches close to the Angelina County/Nacogdoches County line. There are 2 horizontal wells producing from the James Lime formation. These wells(API 347-32576/347-32809) were drilled by BRG Lone Star LTD in 2008-2009 and have done fairly well.
