I don't know what Louisiana calls an LLC, but I do know that the uniform State codes don't let an LLC use the letters INC (incorporated) because of their very different organization. LLC's have no stockholders--they have members, and Inc is always for a stock company with shareholders. Try googling the Louisiana State secretary of state page, and i will bet you can find out.

An Oil & Gas Company changed from an Inc. to L.L.C. However, on my Quarterly Reports they still show their company name to be Inc. Can they do that?
