Identifying the well i am waiting on

I inherited mineral rights and signed a lease with Surprise Valley last June. Most all the information I had was from my father (also a partial mineral right owner) however he passed away last year. I am hoping someone might be able to help me identify the well I am waiting on so I can follow the updates that pertain to our lease.

You need to post the legal description of the tract of land in the lease. Most likely the primary term (time to drill) is 3 years and so permits may not yet be filed. Surprise Valley Resources is a company which leases on behalf of oil companies, so your lease will have been assigned to another company. Most recently Surprise Valley has been assigning to Comstock Oil.& Gas Co. This can be verified in the Leon County deed records.

Thomas Toby Sur A- 0885 71.049 is the legal description from the lease I signed. It also mentions Sulphur River Exploration. I do believe it is related to Comstock from the info I had before my father passed.

If you will go to the railroad commission gis viewer and put in the api # 289-32192, it will locate the Williams RM lease. Click on the drilling permit link, go down the page until you see the Williams RM 1H well location plat. It will show you where this lease is in relation to A-885. Hope this is helpful.
