With solar and wind farms becoming popular, how do I find out if the mineral rights I inherited also come with the surface rights.

There is a longer way to determine this by checking title. However, the shorter way to determine if you own title is to determine if you are paying property taxes on the surface.

yes, check the tax rolls. Now, occasionally, the surface owner is omitted from the tax rolls, especially if they own a fractional share. But for this purpose, I would just check the tax rolls.
