I own minerals in Hamilton County, IL. - Sect. 28 - 7S-8E, NW/4 NE/4. I have been offered $50.00 per acre to lease and a 1/8 royalty for a 10-year primary term. Although I’m not interested in their offer it would be helpful if anyone knows anything about the area and the terms of any leases. Also, they offered $500.00 per acre to purchase my minerals.
Personally, I consider ten years way too long to be stuck with a 1/8th lease. Sounds like a speculator. Illinois probably gas an oil and gas commission which would show any active wells.
