I was contacted by an investor to buy mineral rights I didn’t know I owned. This was handed down to my father who passed away in 1992 The location info is: Reeves County, TX (Section 207, H&GN Co. Survey, Abstract 519 (A-519) I can’t seem to find any information on this. The person offering money paid my brother more than $9K just a few months ago, so I know there is something there, however I don’t want to sell anything until I find out what I own and its value. Can anyone help me with this?
Noble Energy is operating multiple producing wells in Section 207. There is likely to be significant funds in suspense. So the investor may have paid your brother with his own money. Noble Energy is now owned by Chevron. You need to establish your title and get in pay with Noble / Chevron. Also check Texas Unclaimed Property under both your father’s name and your name to see if some of the funds are there. Clay Prewit 206-207 Unit A 1H (42-389-38866 - RRC 08-54973); Clay Prewit 206-207 Unit B 3H (42-389-38867 - RRC 08-54809); and Clay Prewit 206-207 Unit C 5H (42-389-38847 - RRC 08-54827). Sam Prewit 207 (42-389-33690 - RRC 08-44565) ceased operating in 2019, but you would be due royalties for that well too.
Thank you! I suspected as such
