Hutto/Rodell Well in Leon County

Anyone with information on the Hutto/Rodell Well. It is a 25,000’ horizontal well that runs N/NW through 3 abstracts. I believe the platform begins in the Fisher ( A-285 ), then through Jackson ( A-437 ) and ends in Gilmore ( A- 322 ). Any information regarding this well would be appreciated.

Drilling is finished, but no completion yet.

Does that mean that it has been fracked? Thanks

Nope. Frac’ing is a major part of the completion process.

Thanks Alan, It would be nice to know if the completion process has begun or do you think that they are waiting for all 6 wells to be completed?

No way to know. Scheduling frac crews can be difficult.

Following! This crosses one of our two Lots in A-437. Wasn’t aware there will be 6 wells. Any idea when the new Comstock plant will become operable?

Check out my topic “ Understanding well symbols”. If you zoom out far enough on the pentagon symbol it will turn into 2 separate platforms showing the 2 wells running separate ways. This doesn’t work on the phone or some small laptops. Works great on a desktop.

We sure do appreciate your feedback on our previous questions. I suppose if the completion process begins on any of the 6 wells it won’t be long before it is reported on this forum.

I drive up nearly weekly to check on the progress as I am on the easternmost well (Lotspeich BJ). Last week they had just run a large water line from highway 39 for several miles going up CR 325 where the access to the wells is. I was surprised that they ran it through culverts along the road.

there are signs along the road for the frac crews.

If the fracking begins, which well do you think they will start with? Thank you for the update.

Any guess on time line to completion of the installation? Great to hear it is coming to a start though!

Average in Haynesville/East Texas for long laterals 2-3 months, according to ChatGPT.

I do not know anything about the drilling process. I am just a landowner/mineral rights owner. There were signs along the road for frac crews. I believe there was one where the turnoff is for the westernmost of the 3 rigs (the two westernmost rigs have actually been taken out). I believe there was also a sign where the road turns off of 325 which I believe goes to both the where the middle rig was, and also to where they were drilling the easternmost. Water was running in the lines along the road (pumps were active).
