Hughes County, OK - Oil & Gas Discussion archives

@ Kirk Bloomquist. Try this number:

(405) 379-5371

I went down to Holdenville, and did the research myself. It’s possible, but you have to be patient and methodical.

@ Ron McKenzie and Shawn White … I’ve done a few leases with Meadows Oil & Gas recently and have found them to be excellent to work with! You can trust them.

Does anyone know how to do a deed search in Hughes County. I can’t seem to find anything online.

@ Kirk Bloomquist … Hughes County is probably one of two counties in Oklahoma that DON’T have that info available online. You have to either go to the courthouse yourself, hire a landman, or pay Visual Lease Services to access that info. They have it online, I believe. That was my last experience, anyway. Good luck!

Thanks Claudia. I was going to call the county office but can’t even find a phone number for that. They don’t make it easy.

There is a well near NW/4 of Section 12 - 8N - 8E. The operator is Cook, I think. How do I get a detailed description of the well?

12-8N-8E

Here is a completion report I found, not many filed yet. They have permits for wells in more than 8 sections with two or more wells in more than one section. They have started or have paperwork to start wells in over 15 sections in 6N-8E. I would be in no hurry to lease and think I would try for a 1/4 royalty. It has been given in 5. There are also some terms you need to make sure you get in your lease.

Thank you VERY much, Ron.

I just received a lease offer from United Land Company at $200 per net min acre for a 3/16 royalty. Does anyone know what activity may be going on here? Is this a fair offer or a ā€œsandbagā€ offer? Any information will be gratefully received. Hugh Williamson williamsonh@uwstout.edu

I stupidly forgot to add the area. 5-6N-8E. Sorry. Hugh Williamson

Ron McKenzie … that link was to a pooling order in Grady County. Hugh Williamson … was your lease offer for Hughes or Seminole County?

My offer was for Hughes County, Section 5, 6N, 8E, where I have 3.34 net min acres. Hugh Williamson

Claudia Thanks try this

Section 19-7N-9E. Just received a lease offer. Initial offer was for $125/NMA, 3 years, 3/16th with a 2 year option. Best they seem to be willing to go is $150/NMA, 2 year lease with no option. Gross proceeds lease. I asked for 1/5th with no lease bonus. Anyone had any offers in Section 19-7N-9E of Hughes County? Thank you in advance for the response.

I see by the post there is some activity going on in Hughes County. My family has mineral deeds near Hodenville. I would like to know if any of this activity is near there. Section 30 Township 7N Range 5E. Any help will be appreciated.

We do have mineral deeds in Pottawatomie County. It is near Konowa. We inherited from Phillip and Myrtle Diester. I do not believe our mineral deeds are leased at this time. My aunt and uncle who were taking care of this have passed away, Anna & Ellis Shaw. We have more than one mineral deed in that county, but a very old lease shows Township 21 North, Range 6 East. In Hughes County we inherited these mineral deeds directly from our mother Beatrice Hale Stickler. We leased several years ago and the well was capped. I sure thought that the description was in Hughes County, Township 30 North, Range 7 East, 10 East. I guess I need to make a trip to Oklahoma and check it out. The two counties cannot be found online. Any info you have will help.

@ Connie Shaw; yes, there has been significant drilling going on in the Holdenville/Lamar area. I didn’t see much leasing activity since 2011, but I’m not the gospel on that. Isn’t 30-7N-5E Pottawatomie County? Have your family minerals been leased?

30-7N-10E is Hughes County. I’m not sure exactly what you’re looking for. Hughes County does not offer info online.
