How to read the

NDRIN format.

I have a contract/lease in hand that calls out the following 'Sections' in Township: 123

Range: 45:

Sections 12: SE/4

Sections 23: NE/4

Sections 34: NW/4 & W/2 SW/4

How does look in the NDRIN entry for this lease???

I guess here's the basic question; what's the form for the entries in NDRIN???

Is there a guide to reference to learn how to interpret that data???

Also, does the entry in NDRIN exactly match the entries in the lease???

Once again, Thank You for taking the time to read this novice's inquiries???

Pamela,

The land description you posted is incorrect for ND. Both the Township and Range numbers aren't posted on the ND GIS Map. Here is a website you can check, then click on the GIS Map Server, click on the bottom left icon that says Find Section, post your numbers and you will find those don't exist. Perhaps you posted them on here, incorrectly, or the lease is for another State besides ND. Good Luck.

Pamela:

Snues is correct in that Township 123 does not exist in ND. Did you mean Township 132?

PERHAPS NDRIN.COM MIGHT HELP.

Is there a meridian to go with that Range 45 ? Such as T-123 R-45 west of the ? meridian? I know we can find it, just need a little more information.
