I inherited mineral rights in Woodward County OK, Section 12-24N-20W and want to find out if there has been any production of oil or natural gas near this area. Can anyone give me suggestions as to how to find this out?
Thank you very much.

Sarah,
You can find out this information at Oklahoma Mineral Registry. It cost $35 per year and I have been a member for 3 years now, they are very helpful.
Easy enough, pretty quick and free. Use this link http://imaging.occeweb.com/imaging/OGWellRecords.aspx (this is part of the Oklahoma Corporation Commission web site). In the Form # field, choose 1002A. This is the form number for Completion Reports which includes recompletions, disposal and injection wells. Except for some really old wells, each will have it's own API # (some duplicate files). After looking at your Section 12, you will probably then want to check the 8 adjoining sections, and then farther away, as you wish. Since your section is near the corner of the township, you may also want to view all the nearby townships. Use the wildcard symbol % instead of the section # for each of the 4 townships (%24N20W, %25N20W, %25N19W, and %24N19W). To check for Application to Drill and Permit to Drill, use Form # 1000, and for Notice of Well Spud use 1001A.
You can use the Oklahoma Tax Commission site to search for production quantities reported to their system at this fairly recent link https://www4.oktax.onenet.net/GrossProduction/PublicSearchPUNbyLega...
