I am trying to locate information on the status of royalties on 172 acres in Runnels County, Texas. I inherited the mineral rights from my husband, Gary Poe upon his death in 1978. The following information is on paperwork I received: "Non-participating, term royalty interest in Runnels County Texas. 172 acres of land, more or less, out of Block #16 and #9, both being subdivisions of Survey #442, John Lynch, known as Abstract #346; as more particularly described by metes and bounds in deed for Grady R. Poe, et al, to Harold D. Poe, dated 4/18/73, recorded in Volume 431, Page 490 of the Deed of Records of Runnels County, Texas." I am a native Californian, and all of this is foreign to me. I have contacted Runnels County Clerk and Attorney, but I am not receiving a call back. I simply would like to know the next steps to take to inquire on the status of this land. I appreciate any information you can provide me. Thank you!
